Old Fashioned Stew

You can never go wrong with a crockpot dinner! Throw everything together and let it cook all day and fill your house with a yummy dinner smell. This will warm your belly on a nice fall day or freezing winter day.
To start this recipe off you'll need 2lbs. stew meat (trim off fat) and coat with flour. Add 2 Tbsp. of oil to a pan and cook meat til brown. Once fully cooked, go ahead and transfer the meat to your crockpot and add cut up vegetables and spices. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Just before serving turn crockpot on high and add a thickener (water mixed with a little flour) until desired thickness.

•2 Tbsp. oil
•1 bay leaf
•2 tsp. salt
•1/2 tsp. pepper
•1 tsp. sugar
•2 celery sticks
•1 onion – sliced
•4 potatoes
•6 carrots
•4 c. water
•1 c. beef bouillon (mix 1 tsp. bouillon w/1 c. water)
